Will Leschen from the Sustainable Aquaculture Group attended the conference the first of its kind on the African continent - chairing a session, presenting, as well as announcing the winners of the SARNISSA African aquaculture network cage culture photos competition. There were many participants from all sectors - commercial research academia government - from throughout the continent and also globally. Was good to see a number of Stirling Institute alumni also attending - many now in jobs and research at the forefront of African aquaculture development.
