Malcolm Beveridge seconded for a further year to FAO

‘I will continue to lead the Aquaculture Branch (FIAA) of the FAO, through the second year of the planning biennium. We continue to support countries and partners in their endeavours to maximise the potential of aquaculture to meet their economic, social and environmental goals and to develop and share information on aquaculture technologies and development via a range of publications.

The Aquaculture Branch increasingly works with other parts of the department on a range of cross-cutting themes, including climate change, biodiversity and Blue Growth. Our work is aligned to – and indeed, participates in – the delivery of the Agenda 2030 goals (SDGs), especially SDG 14 (Oceans). To find out more, please see the latest edition of FAN http://www.fao.org/3/a-c0382e.pdf.’
