Stirling to lead study on Closed Containment Systems in Scotland

The Institute of Aquaculture will be working with industry and government agencies on a nine-month study into the potential use of closed containment systems for early seawater stage rearing of salmon and trout in Scotland. The study has been commissioned by the Scottish Aquaculture Research Forum (SARF) with funding support from the Crown Estate and Marine Scotland. It will involve consideration of specific designs, how they might fit into farming cycles and overall costs and benefits. See article on Fishfarmingexpert.com for further details.
