Simão Zacarias has started visiting our project partners. Last week he was in the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi. His first visit was to the Vietnam Institute of Fisheries Economics and Planning where he met Hoang Van Cuong, who is the research leader of a project on “Animal welfare in shrimp value chain in the Mekong River Delta in Viet Nam” along with other colleagues.

He then visited Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 1, where he met Nguyen Thi Dieu Phuong who will be supporting additional research on welfare issues. This visit included meetings with her colleagues and visits to the laboratory facilities at RIA1.
