Stirling hosted a meeting for partners from the EU Horizon 2020 PrimeFish project last week at the Stirling Court Hotel. The project is examining the competitiveness of key European aquaculture and fisheries products with the long term aim of developing a decision support tools for industry and policy organisations. 

James Wright recently interviewed David Little, Professor of aquatic resources and development,  for an article that is now published in the Global Aquaculture Advocate magazine. In it he discusses Southeast Asia’s evolution and the role of academia in aquaculture.

Dr Francis Murray gave a presentation titled ‘Zonal Aquaculture Improvement Projects with Aquaculture Industries in China, Indonesia and Vietnam’ in a session on ‘Water Efficient Food Production’ at the Amsterdam International Water Week in November

The Institute of Aquaculture was well represented at the Annual European Aquaculture Society Conference in October which was held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

John Bostock presented at the COFASP workshop "Towards new solutions on mobility and learning tools for human capacity building on the fisheries, aquaculture and seafood processing chain" which was held in Bilbao on 8th October 2015.
