On 4th March 2026, Professor Dave Little gave a seminar presentation to staff, students and visitors on “China, the changing face of a tilapia superpower”. By request he has now recorded the presentation as a YouTube video so that it can be shared more widely.

China is by a far margin, the largest aquaculture producer in the world. The industry is dynamic with continual change and development as producers respond to changes in resource availability, world markets, consumer behaviour and government regulation. In the video, Prof. Little reflects on these dynamics and invites reflection on what we can learn from the Chinese experience.
